New 252 Costal Scents Palette Review

Hey everyone!  So I decided to buy my first "palette" and after a lot of research decided that a Coastal Scents Palette would be great!  On the website link here, they had the 252 color palette on sale so, I bit the bullet and ordered it.  I believe it took three to four days to arrive so that was great!  The packaging was nice and definitely had nice clean lines and no shadows were broken.
 Look at all those colors!
Outside of package, and a free quad of purple shadows!
Bumper sticker!
And here is a pic of my eye's after I played the first time.  I will be doing tutorials, and more swatches soon, but this is my initial reaction and impression of the palette.
Don't mind my nasty brows, it was before I plucked them, lol!
At first glance the colors are gorgeous, with plenty of mattes, satins and shimmers! Lots of colors to pick from and on the website there is a place to click right under the product info pricing, that is a link that will lead you to the individual colors in the palette.  When you hover over each color, it will tell you the color of that shadow and if you click on it, it will take you to an individual page where you can buy the full size single shadow from the palette.  I believe they are $1.99 each.  They can be placed in custom palettes when you buy the single shadows.
So on to the goodies, the shimmers are gorgeous, well really all colors are, but without a primer or base, they will become "muddy" easily. You definitely want to use your skills when blending to keep the colors separate, yet blended perfectly.  Some of the mattes are chalky and not the greatest pigment wise, but some are!  It is really hit or miss.  I have really enjoyed the palette however, and will probably buy some single shadows in there full sizes later on when I begin to hit pan in the palette itself.
All in all it was a great purchase, and I love the variety of colors and the many options. With this you get what you are paying for and it is great to have to try out different looks and for those just starting out.  Madison is really learning about color blending with this palette, and I enjoy watching her learn!  So go ahead, go check out the website, you will not be sorry!!!

Beauty Day look into Night look!

Hey everyone, we started with the idea of a pretty shimmery more natural day look and turned it into a fun and colorful night look.  Here is what we used and some photos to show you the products and a few of the steps!  you can click on the photos below to see a bigger shot, the ones listed here are not to big.
Day Look:
Step 1
Start with a clean and freshly moisturized face!

Step 2
We applied Face Primer
(Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer in 002)
Then we used concealer on any acne spots, brown spots or discolorations
(Hard Candy's Glamoflauge Concealer in Light)
Followed up with foundation
(Revlon Colorstay Whipped in Nude)

Step 3
Here we go...On the eyes we used:
An all over color to make the powder really adhere
(Maybelline's Color Tattoo in Too Cool)
Then a beautiful shimmery pinky gold on the whole lid
A cream shimmer on browbone and inner corners of the eyes
and a taupe/gold shimmer on the creases
(Wet N Wild eye trio in Walking on Egg Shells)
Black Eye Liner with a slight wing on top
(Wet N Wild black liquid liner)
Bottom we used the taupe/gold shimmer to line the bottom
(Wet N Wild Trio from lid)
And Black Mascara
(L'oreal's Voluminous  Carbon Black)

Step 4
We did her brows, which badly need to be groomed!
In a dark brown Matte Powder with a flat brush (my angel brush was MIA)
(NYC eye quad for green eyes, top brown matte)

Step 5
To the cheeks we added some amazing color
Bronzer below the cheek bone in the hollows
(Rimmel Natural Bronzer in 021 sunset)
And a Pinky/Gold Blush to the apples
(Wet N Wild Pearlescent Pink)
And a shimmer highlight right above the bone
(Bonnie Bell blend'n glow lower lightest quad)
Step 6
Lips!!!! And we were done!
We lined her lips with a basic pale brown it was just an off generic brand
And used a nude lipstick
(L'oreal Color Riche in 800 Fairest Nude)
And we were done, she was gorgeous!

To make this a night look we added on to her day look:
Step 1
We added some gorgeous shades of blue and black
(Wet N Wild 8 palette in Blue had me at hello)
I marked the colors we added with Red dots, but I will talk you through it anyway!
We added from the left side the shimmery blue labeled Crease on her outer corners,
then on the right side the teal/blue to the center (eyelid color),
the upper right lt. blue marked brow bone on her brow bone and inner corners of her eyes,
and lined the bottom with the lower left darkest black matte shade in the set.
Day to Night

Step 2
Then we brightened up her cheeks with a darker rose pink
(L'oreal True Match mineral blush in 488 soft rose)

Step 3
We brightened her lips with a pink gloss
(Hard Candy's Heart breaker 210)
